It is the city administrator's job to make sure the policy decisions made by the City Council are carried out and that public services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities


The city administrator is responsible for:
  • Implementing any action taken by the City Council
  • Making budget recommendations to the City Council
  • Making recommendations to the City Council, which the council may accept, reject, or modify
  • Overseeing city department managers, who supervise nearly 100 employees
